Overview

Gary, Josh and the entire team are delighted to welcome visitors to Cisswood Racing Stables for National Racehorse Week.

Set within 180 acres of beautiful West Sussex countryside and woodland, Cisswood is home to one of Britain’s leading dual-purpose racing operations. With more than 100 stables and first-class training facilities, the yard is home to both Flat and National Hunt horses, ensuring a busy and exciting atmosphere throughout the year. Gary Moore has enjoyed remarkable success as both a jockey and trainer, while Josh joined the training licence in 2024, continuing the family’s proud racing tradition.

This is a fantastic opportunity to go behind the scenes at a professional racing yard and discover what life is really like for a racehorse in training. Visitors will be able to meet the horses, tour the yard’s facilities, and speak to the dedicated team responsible for their daily care, training and wellbeing. You’ll gain an insight into the attention to detail, horsemanship and teamwork that underpin every success on the racecourse.

The Moore family has been at the heart of British racing for generations, and visitors can learn more about the family’s unique approach to training, as well as the facilities that help horses thrive, including private gallops, turnout paddocks, rehabilitation equipment and miles of surrounding countryside.

Whether you’re a lifelong racing fan or completely new to the sport, Cisswood Racing Stables offers a warm welcome and a memorable opportunity to connect with the horses and people who make racing possible.
