Overview

The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre is the original charity for retired racehorse welfare in the UK and has been promoting Thoroughbred Aftercare for over 30 years. BTRC provide a safety-net through rehabilitation, retraining and suitable rehoming to ensure Thoroughbreds have a valuable life after their racing careers have ended.
At the BTRC we aim to help as many horses as possible each year to be rehomed, these horses either come straight from the racing industry or pre-trained equestrian homes that for many reasons can no longer cope or care for the horse.
