Our Facilities
Set in 150 acres of rolling West Sussex countryside, Coombelands Racing Stables provide world class training facilities for racehorses, all year round.

One of the finest private racehorse training establishments in the world, Coombelands boasts:

four all-weather turf gallops, of six to eight furlongs each
numerous cantering areas
an indoor equine swimming pool
an oval one furlong indoor canterway
an outdoor riding school
a banked turf ‘American Bend’ to train racehorses that may race abroad
luxurious ‘American Barns’ stable complex

What to expect

Farrier Demonstration – Watch a skilled farrier at work as they shoe one of our horses and explain how they keep hooves healthy. 🧑‍🏇 Meet a Jockey – (TBC) Chat, ask questions, and get tips from a professional jockey. 🩺 Vet Talk & Demo – Learn from Sussex Equine Hospital vets about horse health and care, with a live demonstration. ⚽ Brighton & Hove Albion FC Players are joining us to sign autographs and meet fans! 🐎 Equicizer ‘Have-a-Go’ Session – Try riding a mechanical horse with guidance from Luke Dace, licensed trainer and jockey coach. 🏠 Explore the Yard – Take a guided tour of the barns, meet the horses, and see our top-class facilities.
