Overview

Andrew and Jane Black, together with their diligent and dedicated team, have grown Chasemore Farm into one of the leading commercial nurseries in Britain in the space of a decade.  They have produced a host of Pattern Stakes Winners, including Lezoo, Noble Style, Brad The Brief, Boomer, and Arthur Kitt.  They currently have about 110 horses on the farm, which include Broodmares, Yearlings, Weanlings, and one Stallion (the teaser).

What to expect

Commencing from 11.00am, we will meet at out our state-of-the-art Foaling Unit (staff at the gates will show you the way- you may also have the option to drive down rather than walk), where we will have a brief talk about our foaling, what happens during foaling etc.  We also have pigs in our woodlands, which also makes a bit of a change from horses and they usually come running when we call them for food!  We do have sheep, and our Estate Manager, Sam Shaw, would be happy to have a talk about the sheep and how they fit in with the management of the stud and pastures. You will also get the opportunity to see some of the mares, foals and weanlings on the stud, although they will be in their paddocks. It is a fair amount of walking - but on concrete, level roads.  At about 12 noon,  we will walk back to our Main Yard (next to the Stud Office), and view a parade of 8 of our Yearling Fillies that will be sold at the upcoming Tattersalls October Yearling Sales - this will include a talk by Jack Conroy, our Stud Manager. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided in the Stud Office after the tour. Parking is available down the main driveway.
