Overview

Sandhill Racing Stables has always strived to create a great atmosphere of teamwork and positivity around the horses and staff. As the saying goes ‘happy staff makes happy horses’.

Philip started training in 1985 and has always treated triumph and disaster with the same equanimity. In his career he has so far trained nearly 3000 winners and been in the top 6 trainers for the past two decades, having had winners at all the major festivals in England, Ireland and France.

In 2023, Johnson White, previously the yard’s assistant trainer has taken a joint license with the trainer. Johnson White has been Philip Hobbs’ right-hand man for nearly three decades

We enjoy welcoming you all to Sandhill Racing Stables to have a tour of our fantastic facilities here in Somerset. We have trained almost 3,000 winners so far and always striving to better ourselves.
