Tom Dascombe is a Classic winning trainer. Tom started out as a conditional jockey at Martin Pipe’s stable in the 80’s, Tom rode 96 National Hunt winners before making his move into training. Tom began as an Assistant Trainer to Ralph Beckett in Lambourn and went on to hone his skills under the tutelage of Mike De Kock as his representative in Dubai.
In 2005, Tom returned to the UK and set up on his own in Lambourn where he built up a reputation as an exceptional trainer of 2-year-olds, training the winner of both the July Stakes and the Superlative Stakes in 2008. His achievements caught the attention of Michael Owen who lured him to Manor House Stables in Cheshire where famously he enjoyed Group 1 success with Brown Panther in the Irish St Leger in 2014 as well as multiple Royal Ascot victories.
After 12 successful years, he moved back to Lambourn and established Tom Dascombe Racing. He took on Frenchmans Lodge earlier this year. Tom trains around 35 horses and hopes to expand. His staff are loyal and hardworking and the majority have worked with him for well over a decade.
