Overview

Situated in the heart of Newmarket, The National Stud is home to 500 acres of beautiful pasture and a high-class roster of stallions, headed by the legendary seven-time Group 1 winner Stradivarius. He stands alongside Group 1-winning son of Frankel Diego Velazquez, as well as Bradsell, Lope Y Fernandez and Rajasinghe.

Purchased by The Jockey Club in 2008, The National Stud supports the sustainability of the Thoroughbred breed and the sport of horseracing through first-class breeding services and internationally renowned training courses for those embarking on careers in the industry.

The Stud also provides a permanent home for retired racing stars through its Living Legends, including Lord Windermere, The Tin Man, Kinross and Attraction.

Proud to open its doors to the public, The National Stud offers a unique insight into the world of Thoroughbred breeding, complemented by The Lodge, a newly refurbished café serving exceptional food in a relaxed setting overlooking the Stud.
