Overview

Set in the rolling Oxfordshire countryside, Heather Main Racing is a welcoming, family-run yard where the welfare of every horse is the foundation of everything the team does. Training both Flat and National Hunt horses, the yard is known for its hands-on approach, individual attention and commitment to developing horses at their own pace.

Heather has built a reputation for patient horsemanship, combining traditional training methods with the daily care and preparation required to help every horse reach its full potential. Supported by a close-knit team, she believes that understanding each horse as an individual is key to achieving success both on and off the racecourse.

Whether you’re a lifelong racing enthusiast or discovering the sport for the first time, visitors can look forward to a warm Oxfordshire welcome and an unforgettable day meeting the horses and people at the heart of British racing.

As well as meeting the horses, visitors will have the chance to speak with Heather and her team about life in a racing stable, the different roles that keep the yard running smoothly and the unique personalities of the horses in training.
