Ben has built a reputation for quality over quantity, training more than 50 winners and earning over £600,000 in prize money. His ambition to become a trainer began at just 18, when he started with two point-to-point horses while working as assistant trainer to Anthony Honeyball. From those early days, his operation has grown steadily through consistent success.

Before taking out his National Hunt licence ahead of the 2021/22 season, Ben trained 19 point-to-point winners and five hunter chase winners in the amateur ranks. Since joining the professional training ranks, he has continued that upward trajectory, focusing on developing a carefully selected string of horses rather than chasing numbers.

Ben is known for his meticulous, hands-on approach, believing that understanding every horse as an individual is the key to unlocking its potential. His attention to detail ensures owners receive regular communication and horses are given every opportunity to perform at their best.

Directions

The day will consist of a range of behind-the-scenes activities that showcase life in a racing stable. Visitors can tour the yard, meet the horses, and speak with the team who care for them. The day also features a physiotherapy demonstration and a farrier demonstration, offering insight into horse health, treatment, and hoof care.
