Overview

Join us for a behind-the-scenes experience at Clare Hobson Racing as we open our doors for National Racehorse Week. Whether you’re a lifelong racing enthusiast or simply curious about the sport, this is a fantastic opportunity to discover the dedication, skill and teamwork involved in training racehorses.

Clare Hobson trains both Flat and National Hunt racehorses, offering a hands-on, personal approach to every horse in her care. Visitors will have the chance to explore a working racing yard, meet the horses, and learn how each one is trained as an individual, with welfare at the heart of everything we do.

Throughout the morning, Clare and her team will provide an insight into the daily routine of the yard, from early exercise and feeding to fitness programmes, veterinary care and race preparation. You’ll also discover the many people involved in supporting a racehorse’s career, including work riders, grooms, farriers and vets, and gain a greater appreciation of the commitment required behind every runner.
