Overview

Joe Tickle trains from his picturesque base in Tiverton, Devon, where he has established a strong reputation for developing horses to reach their full potential.

Over the years, he has trained a variety of winners across the UK, consistently producing competitive horses at both novice and handicap level. His success is built on a patient, hands-on approach, combining traditional horsemanship with a modern training programme tailored to each individual horse.

From young, inexperienced horses through to established runners, Tickle focuses on careful progression and individual attention, ensuring each horse is given the time and support needed to perform at their best.

What to expect

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the horses, enjoy a guided tour of the yard, and speak to the dedicated team who care for them every day, gaining a unique insight into life behind the scenes in a racing yard. Throughout the day, there will also be the chance to watch loose schooling sessions, see demonstrations of the starting stalls and equiciser, and experience the excitement of the bucking bronco. Families can enjoy a bouncy castle for children, a yard quiz, live music, and plenty of other entertainment, making it a fun-filled day out for visitors of all ages.
