The Henry Cecil Open Weekend is looking forward to welcoming visitors to British horseracing’s headquarters on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026.

A unique opportunity to delve behind the scenes at Britain’s best-known racing yards and meet the stars of British horseracing, the Henry Cecil Open Weekend is a fantastic day out for all the family. The Open Weekend coincides with racing on Saturday at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse. With many of the town’s racing yards open to the public on Sunday morning, an afternoon of events follows including a Shetland Pony Grand National, racing personality Show Jumping, parade of retired racehorses and fun dog show.
